One More Time...

Dave just left for California again yesterday. He was home on pre-deployment leave, as he is getting ready to go to Afghanistan, I like to call it 'Florida' though. :) I know he is pretty excited about going, which will hopefully make the time easier on him. It is so hard with him leaving, and I just have to take it one day at a time, but I know that when he is back next November, it will all be over with. He is so strong while he is gone, and I know that I have to be too. I had so much fun with him home these past few weeks, and I'm so thankful I get to see him as much as I do. I just pray everyday that he will be brought back home safely.

Goodhue...

Today was a great day :) I'm pretty sure all of the seniors are on their slides already, including the teachers. Considering...we have food fights at lunch and the principal looks down at strawberries rolling past his feet, and just laughs.

Everyone was in such a good mood with the basketball girls going up to state, and no school tomorrow! That's what I love most about this town. The girls are escorted out of town by the police and fire dept. and K-12 made a tunnel in the gym for the players to get on the bus. Everyone is so involved and Goodhue will be empty tomorrow because all the fans will be at Williams Arena cheering on the girls. :)

And Spring weather is finally beginning! It was so nice to walk outside today to sunshine and 60 degree weather. I got to end this beautiful day with getting some St. Patrick's Day coffee at Caribou with my mom :)

Pep fest for the basketball girls!

Life right now...

Life right now is busy, and so many things are happening. Even though I love the snow, I have been waiting for this long winter to end. That means the sunshine will be here, and a new chapter will begin in my life. I have loved every minute of being with my friends in high school, but I am definitely to the point where I am ready to move on.

Right now am just taking it one day at a time with Dave being gone, and even though time is really going fast, every day it seems like so much more time until I see him next. Today was our 4 year anniversary though, and that just reminds me how lucky I really am. :) I am thankful to be with him, and I am so happy for the future.

So, even though I am ready for what's coming next, I'm trying to savor every minute of what's happening in my life right now.
